Work Experience... I love styling!

Hellooo hellooo everyone,

Must. make. time. for. blog - I really need to get myself into a routine when it comes to blogging, I promise it shall be my new priority.

So, the past few months have been great for me, I've been given lots of great intern opportunities by working with some amazing companies on possibly the best projects I have ever worked on. I feel as though I've learnt so much & its even given me the confidence to help style my own events. You may follow my facebook or instagram page, so you could already know what I've been up too, but heres a little recap...

Urban Caprice:

Here I assisted as a creative production assistant, working in the office as well as helping on site at many different events, from private birthday parties to corporates. The most exciting event I worked on during my time here, was the Sainsbury's Christmas press launch show in JULY! The event was designed as a Christmas market, we listened to lots of 'merry' Christmas music and even had some snow... Although it was surreal walking outside to the lovely London sunshine. For the event I helped make lots of popcorn and cranberry bunting for the trees, it looked as good as it tasted!

It was great to see how various events come together, from the first part of contact until the end production.

Hattie & Flora:

I looooove Hattie & Flora! Above are a few pictures from Carfest 2013. Here I helped on site with the styling of the festival. It was sooo much fun, bunting hanging, hanging gorgeous vintage lampshades from the trees & I even tried some floristry - This was my first time working on a festival, I loved the whole day. The excitement. I've also helped the girls in the studio with prop making, the studio is my vintage dream, amazing.

The last event I helped Hattie & Flora with  was Jamie Oliver's Feastival, yes I saw Alex James... Yippeeee! Another great event to have been given the opportunity to work on. The day consisted of lots of bunting hanging, 500m in fact & hanging pretty coloured ribbon from the trees! What a great it was, so much fun, I didn't want to leave...

I look forward to the up & coming events with the Hattie & Flora girls, I believe I'm climbing the O2 with them next...

Its great to be experiencing all these fab opportunities at the moment & learning lots of great things, I'm just look forward to the next part of my journey...

Does anyone have any advice? What's your experiences? Would be good to hear from you readers!

Warm wishes

WOW.

Sooo...Where do I begin??

Its been far too long since my last blog post! I have lots to update you with :-)

In May I arrived back from the most amazing trip to America. We drove to LA, San Diego & then joined the route 66 to end our journey in Chicago, The Windy City (That it was) We found some faaabulous vintage and thrift shops along the way, I wanted to bring it all home!!! Although I did bring back a few things, all the pieces I really wanted, were far too big for the suitcase, booooo.

As well as having vintage envy, we did also see some great parts of America & our fair share of motels...

So, what you waiting for? Go travelling & enjoy the world. I can't wait for my next trip, maybe next time I will plan for a courier so I can bring some exciting vintage items home...oh now there's a thought!

With love x

Sunday bliss

Hi everyone!

I'm super excited, had a great day out & found lots of lovely goodies - although it looks like I'm keeping majority of items. I've been busy putting lots of new stock on the facebook page as well as making some pretty pom pom flowers, perfect for valentines, mothers day or just a treat for yourself. They look especially great in vintage jars!

Each bunch includes 6 pom pom flowers on sticks with a personalised stamped label. Below are a few of the new items which have been added to the stall in the last few weeks, enjoy!

Now to show off some of the bits I got today! A gorgeous vintage vanity case, which I'm toooootally in love with! Also picked up some pretty china and a very cool oooold mobile phone!

Still have lots of new items to sort through & should be adding some items this week so keep checking our facebook page! Thanks for all the on going support!

Balloons, colour...action!

Hey hey!

Just a quick post to show you some pics of my week :-) Last weekend we had a lovely long weekend to Centerparcs - it was action packed with quad biking, segways & lots of walking! So much pretty scenery...

Once home from Centerparcs, I was lucky to have some work experience with a fun and creative event planning company. Mind Candy was the customer for the party, they're an entertainment company who have created an online gaming world  for children called "Moshi Monsters". The brand is fun and completely creative which is why  the decor for the party was totally fresh thinking and original...we spent the day applying a mix of pop coloured balloons to the walls, making sure it looked like an explosion, a big 3d wave working itself around the interior. Bright bunting flags & upside-down umbrellas hung from the ceiling and walls, all in keeping with the bright burst of colour! As well as the quirky use of objects, there was also some fun novelty interactions such as cotton candy, photobooths and ice cream cocktails. I left the event feeling totally inspired...and was dreaming about balloons, all night...

Tomorrow is a day at the stall with some new items to be added! Will keep you posted! Nighty nighty!
